The good people over at www.zazagallery.com sent out a tweet calling for photo bloggers to review an 8”x10” Canvas Gallery Wrap of a personal work at no cost to the shooter.

After some inquisitive tweets to determine the “to good to be true” nature of this offer I eagerly accepted. I quickly worked up a portrait to send along. My tweets and emails were answered promptly. These guys are serious about communication (it’s a shame more companies are not). The ZaZagallery.com website contains information that anyone out for the first canvas order will find helpful. The site also boldly debunks the myths that keep professionals and hobbyists from getting their work immortalized on canvas.

I unpacked my Canvas Gallery Wrap from www.zazagallery.com today! (that’s it in the photo above) It’s impressive! Two things that jumped out at me were there sharpness and the brightness. Honestly, I did not know what to expect (this was my first experience with photos on canvas). As far as sharpness was concerned… let me tell you, the details are all there. The piece is, also, pleasantly brighter than I had expected. What I have found to be “normal” in paper printing scenarios (the image always prints darker than the file looks on the monitor) – simply wasn’t the case here. My thanks to ZaZagallery.com for a great promotional offer and a great product.

Other “noteables” –
* ZaZagallery.com boasts an extremely competitive price on all of their Canvas Gallery Wraps. A quick search showed some competitors charging two times as much!

* ZaZagallery.com accepts PayPal and even personal checks! (see website for details)

* Canvas Gallery Wraps are built to last. Upwards of 100 years under reasonable conditions.

* Money back guarantee. (again, see website for details)

I had the privilege of watching (and photographing) one of the world’s greatest performances. The Lipizzaner Stallions began touring in 1970 and this year marks their 39th anniversary in show business. The “dancing white stallions” have quite the heritage, history, and show.

The photos: No video taping was allowed during the show, however cameras and flashes were allowed. I was kicking myself (and still am) for not packing a strobe, but I guess you chalk it up to live-and-learn experience. Suffice to say, I’m blaming the poor quality of my photos on the available light… and my lack of preparedness. Enjoy.
